DANTE Solutions: Heat Treatment Simulation

Heat treatment is a series of processes in which heat is used to change the properties of a metal or alloy and time is of the essence. Heat treatments are used for various purposes. The most important of these is to provide control over hardness, ductility, strength, toughness, and residual stresses, which can be called control of mechanical properties.

Heat treatments can be applied under three main headings such as annealing, hardening and surface hardening according to the purpose of application.

DANTE is one of the most established software in this field, and thanks to the work carried out in partnership with the industry for many years, DANTE Solutions has a wide range of solutions for the problems experienced in the industry. In addition, thanks to its experienced technical team, this solution portfolio is expanding day by day.

DANTE software is interoperable with ANSYS and Abaqus software and can be used for gas carburization, vacuum carburization, phase transformation modeling from dilatometry data, phase transformation modeling from TTT and CCT diagrams, mechanical property modeling from standard tensile and compression test data, Heat transfer coefficient determination from thermocouple data, TTT and CCT diagram creation using DANTE material database, phase and hardness determination from heating/cooling curves, Jominy End Quench determination, austenitic transformation modeling can be done. Thanks to these auxiliary tools, the user can determine all the data needed for the relevant process using only DANTE software without any other needs. One of the most important features that distinguishes DANTE from other heat treatment software is these auxiliary tools.

Vcarb – GCarb – GNitro

VCarb, GCarb and GNitro help in the prediction and process design of vacuum (low pressure) carburization, gas carburization and gas nitriding respectively.

TTT & CHT

TTT and CHT generate time-dependent temperature, heating and cooling graphs for various alloys and carbon levels.

Jominy & DI Predictor

Hardenability tools Jominy and DI Predictor generate the Jominy profile or ideal diameter based on alloy content and carbon level inputs.

MatSim

MatSim is a robust utility that uses time/temperature or velocity/time data to predict volume fractions of individual metallurgical phases and ultimate hardness in a fraction of the time that a full FEA simulation would require.

MatSim

DilotFit, MecFit, TTTFit and HTCFit, are convenient companion tools that enable the user to extend their material and process databases with their own experimental data.
